Zhuk Roman

Born in 1955 in Tlumach (Ivano-Frankivsk region).

1978 – graduated from the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (teacher – Karlo Zvirynskyi).

During 1978-1982 – worked as a lecturer at the Department of Painting.

Since 1987, he has been active in exhibitions around the world.

In 1987, he became a participant in the All-Union Exhibition “Youth of the Country”, Moscow.

1987 – joined the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

In 2022, he took part in the Independent charity exhibition in Miami. The project was curated by Natalia Zabolotna, founder of Art Ukraine Gallery. All the funds raised were used to support wounded children.

The works are kept in the collections of the Lviv Art Gallery, Sumy Art Museum, National Art Museum of Ukraine (Kyiv), Museum of Modern Art of Ukraine (Kyiv) and many private collections in Ukraine, Poland, the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, and Australia.

He lives and works in Lviv and Amsterdam.

Currently, the artist’s works of several series are exhibited at Art Ukraine Gallery.
