VITYK MAX

The artist was born in Lviv.

In 1989, he received his PhD degree. He studied at Lviv University, majoring in geology. In the same year, he moved to Canada and the United States. While travelling, he worked as a geologist and began to study contemporary art and painting.

From 2005 to 2020, he worked and lived in Egypt, the Netherlands, the United States, and Ukraine.

In 2020, he moved to Ukraine.

The artist has had solo exhibitions at the Ukrainian Institute of America in New York, ArtMarts Gallery in Cairo, Egypt, the International Museum of Art, McAllen, Texas, Scope Art Fair in Basel, Context Art Fairs in New York and Miami, as well as at Art Kyiv Contemporary Fair (curated by Natalia Zabolotna) in Ukraine.

Vityk also participated in group projects: Novomatic Forum in Vienna, Darb Art Centre in Cairo, and the Arsenal Museum Collection in Kyiv.

Vityk’s works are included in private and permanent museum collections worldwide.

Currently, the works of several series of the artist are exhibited at Art Ukraine Gallery.
