Olesia Rybchenko

Born on 15 February 1982 in the village of Senkivka, Boryspil district, Kyiv region.

She studied at the National Academy of Arts and Architecture, majoring in fine arts, and received a master’s degree.

She is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, the National Ukrainian Committee of the International Association of Fine Arts, AIAP Association Internationale des Arts Plastiques, IAA International Association of Art.

In 2012, she took part in the first competitions, including the V. Shatalin Competition (Kyiv, NAOMA) and the All-Ukrainian Art Exhibition “To the Day of the Artist” (Kyiv, Central House of Artists).

In 2014, she took part in national projects: All-Ukrainian art exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth (Kyiv, Central House of Artists); All-Ukrainian cultural and artistic project “Picturesque Ukraine” (Cherkasy, Cherkasy Art Museum); All-Ukrainian art exhibition dedicated to the Day of the Artist (Kyiv, Central House of Artists).

The following years were extremely fruitful for exhibition projects, including international ones, among the most significant:

2015: All-Ukrainian art exhibition “Women of Ukraine – Artists” dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth (Kyiv, Directorate of Art Exhibitions); All-Ukrainian art project “Historical Figures of the Future” (Cherkasy, Cherkasy Art Museum); International Competition “To the 75th Anniversary of the Victory” (Kazakhstan, Astana, Ukrainian Centre of Science and Culture of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Kazakhstan).

2016: Personal exhibition “DNA of the National Colour” (Kyiv, Museum of the Ukrainian Diaspora); IX All-Ukrainian Historical and Cultural Festival “Mamai-fest” (Kamianske, Museum of the City History); Painting, Graphic and Sculptural Symposium “Dubno Castle-X. History and Figures: Rethinking” (Rivne region, Dubno); First International Painting Symposium “Slavsko-2016” (Lviv region, Slavsko).

2017: Personal exhibition “Girls and Flowers” (Kyiv, National Opera House of Ukraine); All-Ukrainian contest in painting “Silver Easel” (Uzhhorod, “Brovdi Art”); All-Ukrainian exhibition “Picturesque Ukraine” (Sievierodonetsk, Art Gallery); XVIII International Repin Plein Air (Kharkiv region, Chuhuiv); LVIX International Plein Air “Montenegro – 2017” (Montenegro, Stoliv).

2018: VIII All-Ukrainian Biennale of the historical genre “Ukraine from Trypillia to the Present in the Images of Contemporary Artists” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of independence of the Ukrainian People’s Republic (Kyiv, Central House of Artists); III International Biennale of Young Artists (Alytus Theatre Gallery, Lithuania); International plein air “From the Neman to the Bug” (Kochergine, Lithuania).

2019: 58th Venice Biennale, project “The Falling Shadow of “Dream” on the Giardini Gardens” (Venice, Italy); International Competition Luxembourg Art Prize 2019 (Luxembourg, La Pinacotheque Museum); Personal exhibition “Painting in Black Frames” (Zhytomyr, Gnatyuk Art Centre); II International plein air (Kochergine, Lithuania); International plein air “4 seasons of the year – palette of friendship (autumn)” (Batumi, Georgia); International exhibition (Adjara Museum of Art, Batumi, Georgia).
