OKSANA MAS

Born in 1969 in Chornomorsk, Odesa region.

1986 – graduated from the Ilyichevsk School of Arts. 1992 – graduated from the Odesa Art School named after Grekov.

In 2003, she received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the I. Mechnikov Odesa State University. In 2014, she received her master’s degree.

In 2011, she represented Ukraine at the 54th Venice Biennale with the project Post-vs-Proto-Renaissance. The artist created a copy of the Ghent Altarpiece by the brothers Hubert and Jan van Eyck, made of wooden Easter eggs. 12,800 eggs were painted in 50 countries, and the author of each painting depicted his sins. The exhibition presented only a part of the project, which was completed in just a few years. The total number of Easter eggs needed was 3 million.

2017 – a grand personal exhibition “Spiritual Cities” at Art Ukraine Gallery, Kyiv. The founder of the gallery is Natalia Zabolotna, who once helped the young artist organize her first solo exhibition in Kyiv.

In 2022, she took part in the “Independent” charity exhibition in Miami. The project was curated by Natalia Zabolotna, founder of Art Ukraine Gallery. All the funds raised were used to support wounded children.

Oksana Mas works in an individual author’s technique patented in Ukraine. During her career, she has held more than 80 solo exhibitions. Her works are represented in 150 private collections in Russia, Ukraine, the USA, France, Great Britain, Spain, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Vatican, and Latvia. She collaborates with 20 galleries in different countries, and her works are represented by Opera Gallery, the largest gallery network in the world.

Currently, several series of the artist’s artworks are exhibited at Art Ukraine Gallery.
