OKSANA LEVCHENYA

Oksana was born in 1975 in Bershad, Vinnytsia region.

In 2001, she graduated from the Bogomolets Kyiv Medical University with a degree in surgery.

In 2005, she graduated from the School of Architectural Design in Kyiv.

In 2009, she joined Sotscapitalism Art Kyiv at the Ukrainian House, Kyiv. The head of the institution at that time was Natalia Zabolotna.

In 2012, she took part in Art Kyiv Contemporary and the Kyiv Biennale at the Mystetskyi Arsenal, which was headed by Natalia Zabolotna.

In 2014 and 2015, she joined Art Kyiv Contemporary, the Greed and Soul Searching projects respectively. The events were supported by the director of the Arsenal, Natalia Zabolotna.

In 2017, she was awarded the London Art Biennale’s Special Prize for Exceptional Excellence.

In 2017, she had a solo exhibition at Art Ukraine Gallery – “Quasi-evolution”. Natalia Zabolotna is the founder of the gallery and curator of the project.

She lives and works in Kyiv and New York.
