Khersonskyi Igor
Born in Dnipro in 1987.
2021 – an exhibition of collages in the studio of Kateryna Sytoia.
2022 – the first personal exhibition of the artist’s paintings in Kyiv – “Between Hell And Heaven”.
The artistic goal of Ihor Khersonskyi, according to the artist himself: “Not to depict reality, but to create images that capture reality and meaning, combining conceptuality with painting.”
The gallery owner Tetiana Savchenko says that she saw Ihor’s works on social media and became interested in the freshness and originality of the author’s view. She sees in them the influence of the “Ukrainian New Wave”, the explosion, primarily conceptual, that occurred in the late 1980s.
The artist’s works are kept in private collections in Europe, the USA and Ukraine.
Currently, artworks from several series of the artist are exhibited at Art Ukraine Gallery.
